Mwmbl is introducing membership, an important step toward supporting the continued development of its open-source search engine.
Try it here: https://mwmbl.org/membership
Membership offers a way for people who believe in independent search to support the project and contribute to its future.
Why membership?
Running a search engine takes infrastructure, computing resources, and ongoing development. Membership can help support these needs while allowing Mwmbl to continue improving its search experience.
It also gives the community a way to get involved in supporting an alternative to traditional search engines.
Supporting independent search
Mwmbl aims to provide an alternative to established search engines through open-source development and community involvement.
Building and maintaining a search index requires ongoing work, from crawling the web to improving search results. Support from members can help sustain these efforts and strengthen the project’s future.
Membership benefits
Membership may offer different benefits depending on the level of support. For the latest information about membership options and benefits, see Mwmbl’s official membership information.
What’s next?
Membership is an opportunity to build a stronger community around Mwmbl and support its long-term development.
With continued community support, Mwmbl can keep working toward making independent search a useful alternative for everyone.
Finally…
Thank you to everyone who supports open-source search and the development of Mwmbl. Community support makes a difference.
